Lindsay Ann Whitaker was born on May 21, 1986 in McCook, Nebraska to Mark D. Whitaker and Gail L. Wagner. She has a brother Sean who is 18 months older.
She was full of personality and character as those who new her can agree. Although, shy at times she would still reach out to a newcomer at school, and introduce herself.
Our little girl, was very feminine in such a way you could say she was "all girl". She loved Barbie dolls, stuffed animals, styling her hair and looking her best. She turned into an avid writer and would write consistently in her journals.
Since reading some of these journals we have discovered that she loved to spy. She had her own set of spy clothes and would climb trees and just observe and write down everything she heard and saw. She recorded all of this on her "spy pages".
Lindsay always noted the exact time of everything she did. I think that writing was comforting for her it allowed her freedom to express her feelings and to solve problmes.
Lindsay also loved dance and ballet. She participated in them for seven years, performing at many recitals.
Lindsay loved to go play at the park, especially amusement parks. Her favorite rides were the scariest ones. At age 11 Lindsay began playing the clarinet. It took encouragement on our part, but she persevered and earned first chair in 8th grade. Lindsay loved to have her picture taken and because of that she has left us with many photo memories of herself.

Lindsay Loved Balloons

At the time of her death, Linday was an 8th grader at McCook Junior High. Lindsay loved balloons, we held a balloon release for her at her gravesite service. She was loved and will be missed by many.
